What is a DPF (FAP) emulator?
A DPF emulator is a device that simulates the operation of a fully operational diesel particulate filter (FAP/DPF). As a result, the engine ECU does not force regeneration of the filter and does not report errors caused by the lack of filter patency. The FAP emulator is an effective solution to particulate filter errors.
When removing the DPF filter and replacing it with an emulator, it is also necessary to remove it mechanically or dismantle the cartridge inside it.
